Law Society name change

As announced on November 2, 2017, the Law Society of Upper Canada is changing it’s name to the Law Society of Ontario. LAWPRO congratulates our parent organization on this transformative initiative. Watch for changes in LAWPRO’s print and digital documents in coming months, as we implement usage of the new name. For more information on the name change, see the Law Society’s news release.

Land Acknowledgement

The offices of LAWPRO are located on the traditional territory of many nations including the Mississaugas of the Credit, Anishnabeg, Chippewa, Haudenosaunee and Wendat peoples. Toronto is covered by Treaty 13 with the Mississaugas of the Credit. LAWPRO respects and acknowledges the histories, languages, knowledge systems, and cultures of First Nations, Metis, and Inuit nations.
